Apparently the biopsy on the tumor in his thyroid showed that it was a malignant tumor. Obviously it's times like these where we put rivalry aside and pray for Pat's well-being. Mods, I wasn't sure where to put this thread so move please if necessary.

Thats tough. Sending thought and prayers towards him and his family.

What is the survival rate for thyroid cancer?

It's going to depend on the stage, but up through stage 3 is 90% and higher. So very good.

It looks like it varies by type, but generally favorable. Near 100% if it's in stage 1 or 2.

Great news.

And it isnt like his dad works for a University that is known to be one of the best hospitals in the country. Hope he kicks this things ***, and lives a long, happy life.

Thoughts and prayers for the young man, and his family. Difficulties like this are a challenge meant to be overcome, and far more important than a game.

Classy thread. T's and P's for PMac and family.

Too bad the same thing can't be said about the thread on Hawkeye Nation concerning Niang's broken foot, dexter. I would sincerely hope if a thread like that got started on CycloneFanatic, the moderators on this site would shut it down and delete it. If that thread is still up and going later, then shame on Miller.
