Top 5 Duran Duran songs

5. Hungry Like the Wolf
4. Rio
3. Planet Earth
2. Save a Prayer
1. Girls on Film

"Is There Something I Should Know" is a very good song actually...as is "New Moon on Monday"...and I do like "The Reflex" but the "modern" technology for that video kills me when I see it now...that fake water-fall drenching the crowd scene just cracks me up now! Probably thought it was cool back then...

I don't own any DD songs...but there are more than a handful of DD songs that I would not turn the station if they came on the radio...

Honest question...are there really five good Duran Duran songs to rank? Im not hating, I just don't know much about them and havent heard more than one or two of their songs.

They were short and sweet, putting out a few really good albums and disappearing when George chased fame solo! Duran Duran should have taken that route of going out on top instead of hanging around for way too long!

They still sell out all over Europe. Their US popularity has died, but they continue to be hugely popular elsewhere.

Soccer is also the world's most popular sport (or so the fanboys say), but that doesn't mean it's actually a good sport.

I love Duran Duran and I don't care who knows it.

Don't have time to throw together a Top 5 but "Save a Prayer" and "A View to a Kill" would be on it.

Duran Duran was the biggest band in the world from '82-'84. They were made for MTV and they took full advantage of it, leading the way of the second British invasion. I remember when "The Reflex" won Friday Night Video Fights for ten straight weeks. I never saw them at their peak, but I did get to see them at Concord, CA when "Ordinary World" and "Come Undone" brought them back to the mainstream. It was the most fun I've ever had at a concert. The energy was incredible, everyone was dancing and singing along with every last song. As for my favorites, they would be: 1) The Reflex, 2) Hold Back The Rain, 3) Too Much Information, 4) Hungry Like The Wolf, 5) A View To A Kill.

Bite your tongue. Duran Duran kills Wham! and anything George Michael ever put out

Going to have to respectfully disagree. George Michael has an incredible voice. It sounds the same in concert as it does in the studio. And once he got away from producers who wanted him on MTV, his music became much more introspective. "Listen Without Prejudice" was an incredible album. It may have been a commercial failure, but it was an artistic masterpiece.

And my top five Duran Duran:

5. Ordinary World
4. The Reflex
3. Girls On Film
2. Rio
1. Save a Prayer

Well, this thread is filled with honest answers, yes there are.

I've got a Misfits avatar, Black Flag tattoo, every Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath record and I really do dig the songs I mentioned. Their self titled debut record and Rio are legit. You should check them out.
