I'm sitting in my house in Johnston right now waiting for it to start storming. It sounds like we're going to get hit hard pretty soon.

Just got home from casually following the southern edge of the storm out here in Urbandale. I think I just saw the funnel cloud that passed over Highway 141 near Grimes.

Anything touching down or not??

Didn't see it touch down, while it was in my view it was staying at about a 45 degree angle hanging down from the clouds.

Some sirens just kicked on but it doesn't sound like the Urbandale sirens are on. Sounds like I'm hearing the ones in Johnston.

It seems to have passed us in Johnston. It got very dark and rained very hard for several minutes. Looks like Ankeny is getting hammered now. I'm trying to watch KCCI for weather, but it seems like they really want to show the Tonys.

Hmm....they've been showing weather for at least the past 10 minutes.

KCCI and their priorities..... Nice.

I wish they would change the siren tone. Everytime I hear I feel like we are supposed to prepare for an air raid.

KCCI's coverage is laughable right now.

Watching ABC5 so I know when they start showing the NBA game again. You can just hear the disappointment in their voices as the report that the storm is dying out.

Are you guys watching their DT or analog signals?

I'm watching the Mediacom HD feed. I just thought it was ridiculous that they apparently switched to the Tonys while a funnel cloud was cruising around Grimes and Johnston. They're stuck with weather for the last several minutes, so I give them credit for that, but their current coverage looks like its one guy who's listening to his weather radio.
