If they lose and Boston wins they are out of playoff contention. I know they have been out of it for a while but it stills feels good to say it.

Shouldn't you be concerned with the Dodgers and their playoff hopes? When was the last time a Yankee fan posted about the Dodgers being out of playoff contention?

 I'm not worried yet. This post was all in fun after reading the bottom line on ESPN2 all day stating the fact.

Yankee fans haven't had to post about anyone being out of playoff contention for quite a few years. That is why this is such a big deal in MLB.

As soon as the Yanks tossed a great manager like Torre away and treated him like crap, I became a fan of the team he went to. The Dodgers were my heart pick to win at the beginning of the season (obvs. even BEFORE they got Man Ram) I just want Joe Torre to rub it in their faces. It's great for baseball for a non-Yankees postseason. What makes the NFL so amazing? year-to-year discrepancy/changes in dominance. What makes baseball (a great game) boring? Seeing the same teams at the top and the same teams at the bottom EVERY year. Steinbrenner and the Yanks can kiss my you know what.

Have to admit that I was hoping that any thread with "Yankees" in it would wither and die on the vine.

As long as it didn't...generally, I really enjoy absolutely ignoring the Yankees. I'm pleased that they are such a nonfactor in my life.
