Welcome, Bo. We are happy to have you here, and we look forward to supporting you and your teammates for the next four years as you work to help bring us a Big XII championship.

To make sure you adjust to Iowa properly, and because we hear that you keep your eye on these boards, I thought I would give you a few rules to live by.

RULE #1: Work Hard.

The people of Iowa are kind, but we don't tolerate laziness. If you work hard, on the practice field and in the classroom, stay out of trouble, give your best effort every day and defend your teammates like brothers, the people here will LOVE you.

RULE #2: Beat Iowa.

Rather... continue beating Iowa. This is our Florida/Florida State, it's a big deal, and we've won 7 of the last 10. Just wait until September. The state shuts down, and the stadium ROCKS. Don't screw it up.

RULE #3: Nebraska fans are crazy.

Because there is no Nebraska State to keep them in check, the whole state is like in-bred, mutant football fans... Most of whom think it is still 1995.

RULE #4: Get used to the weather.

It's really hot in the Summer, and really cold in the Winter, but it's PERFECT during football season.

At this point, I'll let my fellow Cyclone fans chime in with some of their own wisdom.....

Again, great to have you here, Bo. Best of luck to you and your teammates.

I don't have any rules per se (at least that differ from what's above), but what I will say is you are joining ISU Football at a critical juncture in its history. Think of programs such as Virginia Tech and Kansas State. Back in the late '80s to early-to-mid '90s both these programs were basically nobody programs. They then hired excellent football coaches who then took the programs that had all of the odds of the world against them and turned them into national powers (although K-State has declined over the past couple of years, but that has more to do with the old coach retiring and program instability since). You have a chance to make Iowa State the next program to go from nobody to somebody. Gene Chizik is that good of a coach. He took an undisciplined team that more often than not lacked much heart and by the end of the season had it rolling like a well-oiled machine. The team exhibited discipline and heart every week by the end of the season. Most of us fans are convinced this is the time that Cyclone football reaches the next level, and 10 years from now you can proudly claim that you were one of the members of that team that got us there. Welcome to the path of destruction!

5. The women at ISU are more Mangino than Jessica Simpson. Your going to have to work a little harder than the University of Florida.

Modified RULE #2: Win the Big 12 North, and then win the Big 12 championship. If you do that, nobody with any sense will give a rat's behind what happens in the Iowa game...

That's classy.

I think we should start a Bo Williams forum, or maybe even a BoWilliamsFanatic website given the volume on here lately.

I'd hate to be on this board for the first game in '09 in the event he doesn't break 150 yards or even worse - doesn't start.

I think this a huge get for us - but damn...

You guys realize there about 100 other guys on the team, right?

Just checking...

I love this Thread but I won't give Bo any rules or tell him about iowa girls until I see him on the COMMITMENT LIST. Does anyone have solid facts other then a facebook message and an article that will prove he is a Cyclone??? Please? (its almost too exciting to be true)

Yeah, I don't know much about this kid and I'd be glad to have him but he isn't even on the team yet so this is getting a little carried away. Remember all the hype over JJ Bass and while I know he was hurt some of this season I don't think he was even our best back last year so let's not get too carried away yet.

Check out the front page of CR. There's a picture of him and a link to an interview talking about his choice to be a Cyclone. The interview is subscription content, but the synopsis on the front page pretty much says he is here.
