Tired of watching Iowa put this game away by halftime because we know that two touchdowns in the second half is like climbing Mt. Everest on one leg
Tired of losing to a total mediocrity of a program because we can't do the simplest things that are supposed to be our calling card
Tired of not being able to pick up a single god damn yard when we really, really need one
Tired of running the most predictable play possible when we need that yard knowing full well we can't pull it off
Tired of the same game plan for 17 years in a row, because this year will be the time it finally works
Tired of our insistence on making Brian Ferentz look competent
Tired of watching Iowa fans reveling in our humiliation in our own stadium
Tired of wondering why a program with a NYD bowl game winning coach is asking itself these questions in the 8th year of that coach's tenure
Tired of wondering when these supposed great recruiting classes start to pay off

Tired - really, really tired - of this:

Really dislike that quote from Campbell. Finding positives is perfectly fine, but trying to make things sound okay after that last quarter of football is weak. He doesn't seem to have that killer instinct that most football coaches do. It's odd.

Agree. If we played Bama or Georgia like that, that’s an exceptable quote. Not programs on our level. You either win or lose at this level. Playing good against the Hawkeyes and losing is not exceptable

We've sucked ass every game versus Iowa in my tenure, but this game was the least ass we sucked.
But we still sucked ass, Matt. We had far too many mental errors today, coached & players. Youth is no excuse. KU's backup last year came off the bench & the offense barely skipped a beat - so don't give me the 'loss 4 veterans/upperclassmen to gambling' line either.

I think it's clear Campbell will never say anything bad about his players to the press and if that means he's says things that drive fans crazy then so be it. I just don't pay attention to what he says to the media anymore.

Yeah, I don't care about this quote. I do care about his weird response about special teams after game one though. I really feel like he's boxing shadows right now rather than coaching the team to do its best.

He’s not a killer instinct guy. He’s a control guy that wants to win every game by 1 point - that would be the ultimate culture and control and winning the margins play.

Campbell doesn't seem to mind the early season losses. I think he uses them (and key plays like getting stuffed on 4th and 1) to motivate the players. It's worked in the past. Hopefully it will work again this season.

I'm excited to see how we hang in the Big12.
