Find a way to get a winning record in the B12 and we will all be together......
now for how to get there, I have no clue
We can all agree that nobody has a clue how to get ISU to a winning record in the B12.

+1 Agreed.I don't think the point is for all fans to unite as Mac supporters or Mac haters. The point is to unite as Cyclones. Like him or not, G-Mac is going to be the coach next year. If you root for the MBB team, and hope they do well, it doesn't necessarily mean that you love Mac and want him around forever. It just means that you love your team, and want them to succeed regardless of who is at the helm.

GMAC has become one of the....if not THE most polarizing figure in ISU history. It's a close call with LE. JP isn't helping in this department with his blatant double standard either. And this thread is exactly the result they were looking for when they hired Jeff. He is here to sell hope, change, and more important......tickets. And if it works.....great. However....just as Houston found out when they actually hired one of their legends in Clyde "the glide" Drexler to the HEAD coaching position...the good ol days give you only so much currency with the restless natives. Winning is what counts. And next year at this time if our record isn't any better....all the 1960's, warm and fuzzy "if you can't be with the one you love..love the one your with"...being one with Neptune's bossom, peace be with you good vibes won't mean a thing.

Post of the day!!! Can we get this man a chicken dinner coupon? He's the winner!I don't think the point is for all fans to unite as Mac supporters or Mac haters. The point is to unite as Cyclones. .....except LE?We can all agree that nobody has a clue how to get ISU to a winning record in the B12.
The hire of Nurse at least has some integrity - Gmac and Nurse played together, and at least Gmac knows how Nurse ticks, and that they can complement each other.
The hire of Grayer, however, has me shaking my head. What has Grayer done to qualify himself for such a position? His coaching experience is practically nil. Signing photos and posters is not going to win us any games.
It is a blatant PR move, one designed to distract the fan base from the dismal state of the program and instead diverts their attention to the "next shiny object."

So tell me, what does "unite as Cyclones" mean anyway? What is the fan base not doing that we should? I mean, the only time the fan base "comes together" is as spectators as ISU sports events.
Our chief benefit to the athletic department is as a customer: buying tickets, concesssions, merchandise, and NCC membership.
If I do all those things (which I do), I am very benefical to JP, even while hoping Gmac is fired. Much more beneficial than another fan, who may love Gmac, but who doesn't write as many checks.
Again, how does "unite as Cyclones" manifest itself? I'm confused.

The post you quoted pretty specifically says that you don't have to love GMac to be a Cyclone fan and be "united," so I'm confused at how you can be confused... You're kind of just saying the same thing he did.
