And, of course, I had to miss it! Gah! After having to deal with my Giants playing their worst ball of the year by FAR, I decided to take today off from watching and showed people around DSM who were visiting for ISU orientation this week. Of all the days... Still, glad to see Timmy have a stellar outing and no-no the Padres for the second time in 346 days.

I hope this game re-energizes the team and they start playing better. Starting pitching has been atrocious and the hitting has dried up. I watched both Matt Cain (who has been pretty bad all year) and Tim Hudson get their clocks cleaned in person at the mediocre White Sox last week. It wasn't pretty. After losing 11 of 14, I'm very surprised they're still in 1st place.

Anyway, good to see he still has some stuff left after turning 30 this month (what an old fart!).

Not a Giants fan but going to SF in late july and secured tickets to a friday night game vs the Dodgers.

~It should be a sellout, and looking forward to seeing their awesome stadium and surroundings.

Bought the tickets months ago, so I'm stoked SF is in 1st place and did have the best record in MLB for the first half of the year until recently.

If you get a chance, take a tour of AT&T Park. They're really fun! I've done it several times. The have two a day (10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., I think), except when there are day games or holidays.

Yeah, LA lost twice to Chicago too. Puzzling. If they had a few timely hits against the Reds a few weeks back, they'd only be a game or 2 back, but I like where they are sitting right now. It was at this time last year that they were just getting hot.
