Tiger Troubles

He comes up with a lot of injuries when he is not playing well

I think this might be it for him, I really he was going to come back this year with the weight loss and happier attitude. However the short game is gone and he appears to be a wreck on the course.

I don't think he wants to be remembered for this but I don't think he can't get back to where he wants

"My glutes are shutting off. And then they don't activate, and then hence it goes into my lower back," Woods said. "So I tried to activate my glutes as best I could, in between, but it just, they never stayed activated."

Sounds like Tiger might be spending too much time with Lindsey Vonn.

I don't think he'll ever be fully healthy again. I don't know if he ever used steroids or HGH, but his body seems to be done for.

He wasn't the only one that had to sit and get cold during the delay today. Why is he the only one that can't handle this?

I just think he's completely lost his game, and then instead of embarrassing himself he walks off with a bad back.
For a LONG time I refused to believe that he was done, and I thought he'd be back winning majors again, but I don't think he will anymore.

I think he may be done too. I think he uses a 'body break down' as an excuse every time he is not playing well. When I first saw him withdraw after 12 holes and being at +2, I was thinking...'Well shoot he might have had a chance this weekend.' But then when I saw the leader was 10 strokes by him, I changed my thinking to, 'Well, another bad start, so he will just give up and pack it up.'

I always have thought when these issues with his body started coming up, he could always use that as an excuse to get out of a tourney. The ****** is getting old. I cannot believe his body is that broken down where he cannot put together 4 decent rounds of golf anymore.

It is just sad....

He shot an 82 and followed it by saying he felt great. That's such a stupid line of thought when he has the surgeries to back up almost every injury he's had.

It happened a lot last year. Saw at stat at lunch in the past 5 seasons he has WD / or missed the cut in 20% of the tournaments he has played in. I can only remember a couple missed cuts, so that is A LOT of WD's the past couple of years.

My frustration is with him, if you don't think you are 100% or at least able to finish a round of golf, just don't play. It's rude to the other guys when you leave mid round and you are taking a spot from another golfer that would love to play. I feel that he is doing this all for sympathy.

Sorry, if my tone came across as negative towards him, but I was rooting for him to make a comeback this off season, but seeing the WD's irks me.

Yeah, and he had back surgery last year. I don't think he knew he wouldn't be able to play. All indications showed last week that even though he was awful, he looked healthy. I have no idea what's wrong with him but I have seen doctors say that it should be pretty easy to get your glutes activated unless there is something else wrong. The only injury he can't back up is the elbow but I don't think he was playing that awful when that one was around.

I don't know where he goes from here. This doesn't seem like something that's just going to go away.

Maybe he needs to play only desert tournaments.

Seems like his back may be better in a year.....he did have a bulging disc from Vonn...wait...scratch that...

"My glutes wouldn't fire".

I'd like to see him play some more but he's finally venturing into pathetic territory.

Tiger needs to go back to sleeping with tons of different women. His back and glutes were getting a much better workout back then when he was sleeping around.

Speaking of "Tiger Troubles", he owes the ex another 54.5 mil due January 15.

He made 55 mil last year despite basically being gone the whole year.

She could end up with the palace on Jupiter Island.

I wonder this also, he bulked up so much, and couldn't control his attitude. Now that he's back to normal size his body is breaking down.

Golf needed tiger, he was awesome to watch. The fear factor he inspired was unbelievable. That's why his demise is sad.

That's gone forever, even if he suddenly reverts to the guy he was 15 years ago.

The depth of talent is unprecedented and only going to grow. Good player development programs are in place all over the globe now.

Just for example, if for whatever reason he doesn't play Honda, he'll fall out of the top 100.

If he can't play the rest of the year he'd fall out of the top 1000.

Yep. I don't know if he uses his health as an excuse or not, but he hasn't been right mentally since the ex wife chased him out of the house with a hold club. He also needs to quit tinkering with hos swing every couple years. More women and fewer swing coaches equals a better Tiger.

Victim of his own success. I wonder how many of these up and coming players took up golf seriously because of Tiger. He's been great for golf and it's popularity but it's coming back to bite him in the *** now.

It's not the strength of the other players that is hurting Tiger right now. The guy can't even hit a fairway or the simplest little chip shot. It's got to be all mental.

How does the guy that for a long time was the best golfer on the planet all of the sudden can't hit a fairway or the easiest little chip shot? This is just an amazing thing to watch.

Does everyone remember that baseball catcher in the big leagues that all of the sudden couldn't get the ball back to the pitcher? He threw it all over the place. He had to quit the game. Or Chuck Knoblauch all of the sudden not being able to throw from 2nd base to 1st base anymore with any accuracy after doing it for years and years.

Tiger has completely lost it mentally, and I'm not sure if he'll ever get it back. And then he's using physical ailments as an excuse IMO. I guarantee you that if he started off Thursday's round going 3 under on the front nine, his back would have been fine.

He has too much of an ego to admit he's lost it mentally. So he will blame his demise on physical issues.

You don't have to like Tiger as a person, and that's 100% understandable and justified. But, for me personally, having grown up around the game of golf and during Tigers prime, I will always be grateful for what he did for the sport. It's always a bummer to see an absolute legend in any sport lose it, regardless of what happens in their personal lives.
