He's out of it. I feel comfortable saying that.
He'll probably shoot 65 tomorrow and end up losing by a couple strokes.

What really hurts is that the course is expected to yield some low scores today so it is unlikely that the field will come back to Tiger - especially with so many ahead of him on the board.

He has plenty of room to put up some crazy scores.
In his record year at Augusta, he started slow for 9 holes, and then exploded. If the course is going to yield low scores today, he's going to get something going. When he has something going, who's really going to compete with him?
Despite me actually liking Tiger, I'm glad he's out of it (and barring a MIRACLE comeback, he likely is). How can you not love seeing Kenny Perry atop the leader board?

He's not out of it. I look at it this way:
1) He doesn't have to make up all 7 shots.
2) The people ahead of him are in uncharted territory for themselves in a major, much less with Tiger anywhere in the vicinity.
3) If he comes out and gets a good start (makes up 2-3 early shots), I could see those guys tighted up, maybe giving back three shots on their own.
I think that a 67 from Tiger tomorrow just might win this thing for him.
If anybody makes a come from behind win, its Tiger. I hope he does, just because I want to witness another miracle and it will give me something to cheer for and get excited when I'm full of Easter food.
Tiger has never won a major when not having the lead. I have a tough time thinking that this would be the year.

It would be a tough one, but it's Tiger. He'll get one sometime. Why not the unlikely one?
He hasn't done squat all week.
If he wins it will be because other people collapse. He's going to have to go low tomorrow. There's no way that everyone in front of him chokes.
Angel Cabrera beat Tiger at the US Open in 2007.
Jim Furyk won the 2003 US Open.
Phil is tied with him and I don't think he's all that intimidated.
Not to mention he's stuck in a pack of guys who are playing great golf right now and Tiger just really isn't. He's playing good golf, but there are a lot of guys who are right now.
He's never done it before. I don't know why you would think he's going to start now.

I'm not at all saying that he will do it, I'm just saying that Tiger's the only golfer out there that I wouldn't count out. I think it'd be fun to see him pull this one off.
Good points. Tiger will have his hands full trying to finish ahead of lefty, let alone the guys who are 7 strokes ahead of him. In the last 6 Masters, Phil has posted 3 final rounds in the 60's compared to none for Tiger.
Am I the only one more interested in hearing about who is winning than in hearing about how far behind Tigger is?

(1) If Tiger is winning, repeat how great he is ad nauseum. Show nobody else. Give Jim Nantz a towel and some lotion.
(2) If Tiger is not winning, continue to ask what's wrong with him. Show nobody else...just scenic shots of Augusta in between Tiger's shots. Give Jim Nantz a towel and some whiskey.
I totally agree. I'm really pulling for Kenny Perry. I'd love to see that guy win a major.
And I'm not counting anyone less than 9 or so strokes back out right now. I'd rather see the guys who have been playing great all week continue to play great, though, than watch a meltdown.
