It's all over twitter that prices for tickets are through the roof. While I understand that we all have a right to make what we can. I figured this game is one of the reasons we buy season tickets. I hate to think that we compromise the famous home court advantage that we have just to make a buck.

I hope it is not Cyclone fans selling them to Iowa fans. I will be ****** if I have to sit by one.

125 upper and 300 lower is not through the roof. Facts are key. Good basketball has price tag. At KU that is the cost everyday. That is the culture.

If you would have attended the Auburn game last week you could have gotten in for free. A lower level seat was selling for 10-20 bucks. Supply and demand. I don't see hok fans filling Hilton as they are cheap and not really a basketball fan base.

99% of my customers are Clones and if we have one of the top 5 atmospheres in college basketball our advantage will not be compromised. I have been to KU, Kentucky, UNC, Duke and Hilton ranks right up there. So to worry about Hilton MAGIC makes zero sense.......

Exactly. While it seems that I may be able to almost recoup my entire season ticket price if I sold my seats to this game, I just couldn't do it.

I will be at Hilton yelling loud and I hope those people considering selling their tickets will take it to heart that 15 years from now you will remember with much more joy watching the Cyclones beat-down the ranked Hawkeyes in a sold out Hilton, then selling your tickets to watch the game on the Tube. The reason for Hilton Magic is people showing up and getting boisterous!

The simple solution is to give your neighbors hell in future games if you have to sit next to a hawk tomorrow.

I have season tickets but knew this would be a hot item (though prices are higher than I imagined). When singles went on sell I hopped on ticketmaster and bought an additional 8 in the upper level. Had no problem making a good amount of cash on them and still attending the game myself with my friends and family. Entrepreneurship. Being an Iowa St grad it was not tough finding a Cyclone fan to sell to. It was not difficult to attend this game and make money.

I'm selling 2 because we have had 4 season tickets for years but only 2 guys. I won't sell to Hawk fans knowingly.

They are now, Iowa actually gained some relevance in basketball again. I would honestly be alright with blatent discrimination and not letting ANY hawkeye fans into the building and just have a standing area outside of Hilton with a 27 inch tv for them all to hover around to watch the game. Hilton is our house!

This is nothing really new. It has been common in football and basketball. There is greater demand and higher prices, but the concept of people selling tickets to high profile games to pay for their season tickets is not a new concept.

You don't think the people paying $150-$300 per ticket are going to show up and get boisterous???

One of my friends can't make the game and is selling his two season tickets. I'm buying one off of him and he sold the other to a Hawk fan (I gave him **** for it). So now I have to cheer twice as loud to drown him out.

Iowa State is lucky to have fans like you.

Price curve should begin to drop sometime today or tomorrow - all tickets are worthless 10 minutes after tipoff . . .

Not gonna happen for this one. Good thing it is on TV. This is the biggest game in Hilton price wise in many, many, many, years. You can certainly try that approach but be prepared to be shut out.....

Except if there aren't any tickets available. When 200 tickets are available 30 minutes before game time then you see the price curve drop. When 8 tickets are available and there are 40 fans looking for tickets 30 minutes prior to the game then typically the tickets will get sold for asking price.

Looks like I may not be able to get to the game until after it starts. How late will scalpers be there?
