Well I plan on buying some index funds and hope for the best. I bought Disney at 93 thought I stole it. I bought Amazon at 108 and thought the same.

2024? Are you back from the future?

I recently purchased MMM. It’s like getting a hybrid stock and CD that pays a 5 percent dividend.

Hoping for the best, but expecting the worst.

I’m not lumping summing and maxing out my retirement accounts as fast as I can like I did this year.

VOO for the win.

If you buy an index fund, keep in mind that Apple and Microsoft are two of top three shorted stocks right now and that could weigh down large cap index funds.

If you are buying a stock or the index for short term performance, worried about its value a year from now, that's not investing. Commit to a plan with beyond a 5 year time horizon for equities. Diversify across multiple asset classes and be patient.

But patience now? That is tough for me. When I was 40 it was so easy....

You will most likely be happy with these companies over the long haul. You did your research and pulled the trigger. Dont "if i had only waited" yourself. That's how successful investors over the decades produce good results. Nicely done.

If I wasn’t 62, my plan would be Bonds Q1, Dividends Q2, Russel index Q3, Nasdaq index Q4. Make each move in conjunction with prime rate cuts by fed.

As soon as the fed stops raising interest rates we will see all time highs again.
Yep, economy was doing all right before we added a boatload of cash to it and caused inflation. Just need to get that under control and get the interest rates to a spot that makes more sense than the historically low area they had been for too long.
