I like the Ryder Cup but it doesn't touch the excitement of a Masters, US Open, or British Open. I'm almost more interested in this years Cup without Tiger. Dunno why but I am.

I think the only major in recent memory that can touch the excitement of the cup is the Open at Bethpage. When it is tightly contested it is amazing television, I love the team formats...

The only way US has a chance is if Anthony Kim is their MVP and plays out of his tail...

I like the majors better, but the Ryder Cup is great and in the same ballpark. I don't know that Tiger being gone will hurt that much, his Ryder Cup record isn't that great. Of course, on the other hand, he is Tiger Woods.

For some reason, Tiger just doesn't quite get the team format. He is such a great scrambler that he doesn't realize other players need to position themeselves to attack and can't attack from all angles of the course. It's part of what makes him great as an individual player, but also his downfall as a team player.

Great insight, I never did put 2-and-2 together and realize that's probably why he doesn't do good in the team formats. He definitely is one of, if not, the best scrambler in golf. It always frustrates me when he hits 2 fairways over and I expect him to make bogey but the ends up getting a par. Not a tiger fan by the way. I respect his game and acknowledge he is awesome. Just not a fan of him.

I chose What's the Ryder Cup...I know what it is, but I don't watch golf and that wasn't an option because Tiger or no Tiger would not have mattered to me.

I was at the US Amatuer he won at Sawgrass, he should have never won that tournament. I don't think he hit a single fairway and he kept bailing himself out, hitting rediculous escape shots, and sinking long snaking putts... The guy is incredibly intense when he is in his zone and probably not wanting to be distracted to discuss another guy's putt...

Yeah, that makes some sense. Who knows, maybe it won't hurt too much with him gone. Hope he recovers fully.

As much as I love the majors.. I love the intensity of the Ryder Cup.

Count me in to watch.

Just turned on the ryder to see who was leading and as usual the euros are leading in 3 out of 4 matches.

Nothing new here boys...Euros Rule as usual!!!

This has been a huge morning for the Americans!!

I would much rather watch them compete for their country than play for more money.

USA! USA! USA!

we chant USA..USA... what to the Euros chant?

-keep

should have been 3.5 - .5 ... crapped that down our leg.
