Or they could be pulling a move like "The Last Starfighter" where, yeah for a time, the Rylan Star League was down to their last Starfighter. But against all odds, they won the day, and then trained more. Don't assume anything. There's more to J.J. Abrams is more than just the wienery-look and the stupid hair.
Love the callback to The Last Starfighter. Such an under-the-radar classic. "You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-dan Armada..."
I love that movie! The Last Starfighter and Enemy Mine are two largely forgotten sci-fi classics.
Meaning?
Singular or plural the title states last...so no more after this movie? The title sucks.
Cheer up. I watched a movie called The Last Song. But there are still plenty of songs being written every day.
Edit: But, just on the hypothetical that he *is* the last Jedi, maybe that's not such a bad thing? I've heard that from a certain point of view, the JEDI are evil! So there's that.

you're reading a lot into it. It could mean a lot of things. Yes, it could mean that there will be no more Jedi after this movie, but not necessarily.
