I don't post very much anymore, but Irving's play was sweet Saturday and I just felt like starting a thread about it.....

That was one of the best and most unexpected plays I can remember seeing in a long time. Irving looked like a pro on that play and that broke the frogs back. I really hope he takes off from here. I just got done watching ESPN's top 10 plays so far in college pigskin and not only did Irving's play not make the top 10, it should have been No. 1. The trick play from Lenz to Brun also warranted a nice top 10 highlight IMO (could have also hit on Lenz' big game in that highlight), but hey I'm just a biased hick from the midwest who likes a bad team. FESPN. GO CYCLONES!

Nice work David, keep it up.

I agree, Irving's play should have been top ten but I'm hoping it just helps turn the light on and helps him reach his potential sooner

It was one if the defensive plays of the week on college football daily? Either that or Live.

Not only was it a great play, and the 'dagger' as CPR put it, but I also liked the reaction from his team mates. I think they are trying to encourgage him to be the force that he can be. Looked like they were sharing the love......

I have no idea how the ball stayed in the air long enough for him to haul it in. Each time it hit something I thought for sure it was going to go straight to the turf. Nice hands and concentration out of the big man.

If he works on reading the QB and his timing he has the wingspan to knock down a lot of passes. Needs to get some lessons from JJ Watt.

They should've counted that tackle Klein made on Irving in his stats! That's a big guy to bring down.

Watched the replay last night and saw another play that he disrupted by standing tall and having his hands in the air. He could be a beast against passes to the flat on his side.

As far as it not being in any sort of ESPN top plays, ESPN just doesn't play nice with Fox/FSN/FCS.

For whatever reason they'll list when a game is on CBS, NBC, BTN, pretty much any other network. But if a game is on anything associated with Fox, ESPN makes it look like "no TV". They use highlights from the huge Fox games when they have to, but you can tell the ESPN and even CBS/NBC games are more likely to make highlight reels.
