The GS Warriors are the 3rd most successful franchise in NBA history

based on championship appearances (11) and wins (6). Bulls tied with 6 wins. That blows my mind. I guess I am stuck thinking of them as the garbage team they were when I was growing up. I only watch a few playoff games here and there, so there's reason I'm so ill informed. I also had no idea exactly how dominant boston and L.A. have been. Kind of wish the NBA only had a best of 3 series instead of best of 7.

It’s a little tricky if you count Philly warriors and Minneapolis Lakers from way back. Personally I kind of think of the Celtics dynasty and era of Russell and Wilt as start of today’s pro basketball.

Until recently it had been hard for a team to win its first title, then Milwaukee and Toronto blew the roof off that. (Realize Milwaukee had title from way back)

I guess I’m odd but outside of ISU the NBA playoffs have always seemed like the most entertaining sporting even to me quite easily. I rarely even watch the super bowl or World Series.

Hard to believe the Bulls went from what they were to what they are now.

They had the best record in the east a couple years not that long ago, just ran into a prime LBJ both years when he was still quick enough to defend and outcompete the fastest guard in the game. They are competitive now again.

Bookended by some really bad ex cyclone coached eras we here are hyper familiar with.

other than the two recent exceptions dynasties and generational players claim a lot of rings. Leonard got a lot of rings, will Giannis get a lot or just one? Steph got a few. LeBron got a few, the spurs got a lot.

The NBA playoffs are very compelling. I watch a number of NBA regular season games every year. The big matchups, mostly.
But when it comes to the playoffs, I tune in a lot more. There are always some incredible games and storylines. A lot of the complaints people have about the NBA game are eliminated in the playoffs.

I’m a homer because they are my adopted team but nuggets are intriguing given the star player and they lost their 2nd and 3rd leading scorers for entire year and constant rumors one or both are almost back.

Taking 20% of the regular season games away in basketball and baseball would be great but obviously won't happen due to revenue.
I think this post season will be great and long. I think there's going to be a lot of 6/7 games series.

The “defense” complaint is most nonsensical. Even in the regular season teams hit 130 because game is longer, shot clock faster, shooters are light years better, ft shooting on average is better, etc…

In the playoffs the defense is off the charts. I wish fans on this board would actually watch Niang play defense now and tell me with a straight face the college game has better defense. His defense improved because he wanted to be and remain in the NBA and it was a requirement to do so.

Monte has obviously played well this year but I'm really surprised how decent Jeff Green has played with all the miles on his legs career wise.

They struggled at .500 for so long then started actually winning at a good clip with the roster they have. Real wild card if they get one or two of them back.

When I lived there I’d have thought the Bears were 6-0 in 90s Super Bowls and the bulls only had a single mid 80s title the way local media act about them.

Makes me think: Is there an NFL franchise more overrated on a single-decade basis than the 1980s Bears? (There could be, just a question off the top of my head).

I don't watch much regular season nba but i watch every second I can of the playoffs. It's only topped by March Madness for me. It's as intense and high level competition as anything you'll see.

I think ppl don’t understand how some guys in the league are near impossible to stop. How do u stop guys like Giannis Embiid or KD, even when Harden was MVP caliber, he refined his game to the point where he excelled at like 3-4 things & it’s just a pick ur poison kinda situation.
