After discussion among the board, we felt it best to call the event off for Saturday. It will not be possible to do the tailgate as we had planned and too little time for an alternate plan. Plus, the team is off their set schedule now and freeing them from this event should assist them to get back on track. Awesome that they assisted with sandbagging this morning versus practicing.
We will get together as a board and brainstorm to put together an alternate event for the membership. This pre-season scrimmage event has been a big success for 6 years and it is disappointing to have to cancel. You cannot fight Mother Nature and expect to win though.
