Having new coaches at the projected 4 worst teams has everything to do with it, but it's weird not having a coach on the hot seat.

Iowa State going 5-4 in conference play seems like it would be a disappointment based off of who we have on the road this year.

True, but that's partially due to his belief that OSU is going to come storming back to 10 wins. I'm not sure anyone else has had that take.

Another interesting piece of info from a different Athletic article: they did a top-40 for assistant coaches to watch, placing Manning at #11. He was apparently looked at for HC spots in Bowling Green and in Akron, as well as the possibility of a return to Toledo if Candle takes off.

Heacock was not mentioned in the list.

Good!! Thank god.....

So they definitely see Okie St. as the wild card here. All other teams' predicted conf. records do not vary more than 1 game, but Okie St. has a prediction of both 3-6 and 7-2.

Both Jeff Myers and Nathan Scheelhaase are listed in this 30 under 30 list. Pretty high praise for both of them. Obviously losing Heacock would be worse, but I hope we can hold on to these guys as long as possible too. Scheelhaase in particular has been killing it on the recruiting trail.

It really speaks volumes that we have at least 4 different assistants getting attention from various sources. Tells a lot about the quality of staff Campbell has built around him.

From what I have heard Heacock is just fine at ISU and doesn't want to go anywhere.
