Stanzi threw a pick and fumbled the last two times he was in the game. He was terrible. Iowa wins despite him not because of him.
Northwestern lost their starting QB who is better than Stanzi and then their backup got hurt as well. So they had to put a gimpy QB back into the game and they won! At IOWA! You don't see their fans complaining like Iowa fans! Injuries happen
Iowa State lost Arnaud, Lamaak, ARob, Benton and do you see excuses on why the lost to A&M?!
Stanzi is the most important piece to the Iowa offense and that was made blatantly obvious Saturday. Iowa has survived injuries to 1 & 2 RB, Bulaga and Moeaki but once Stanzi went out, it was all over.
Iowa wins because of Stanzi, not in spite of him. If you think otherwise, you need to watch more football.

STATS! The guy has thrown 14 picks! He was 11 for 27 against MSU. Defense won that game!

He was 20 for 38 against Michigan with a pick 6 thrown. Defense creating 5 TO's won that game!

Seriously I don't know how anybody can watch a Ricky Stanzi QB'd game and think he is a good QB. He turns the ball over under any sort of pressure and doesn't throw a good 10 yard pass. He does have good touch on deep passes though
Regardless Iowa didn't lose this game because of Stanzi. They lost it because they didn't adapt during the game. Something Iowa teams usally do well
Yes, it is a Cyclone board (everyone is very well-aware), and there is a palpable irony that one could (or would) be a troll on his/her own board, but.... well, life is wacky like that sometimes.
Right now, the only interesting stats are 6-8 weeks, done for the year.

I think Iowa could have lost this game even with Stanzi and won with Vandenberg. NU didn't turn the ball over much at all, and that is probably the biggest reason Iowa lost. How about the running game too? I would argue that Richardsons absence was bigger than Stanzi's. Iowa doesn't win or lose because of their QB. Not a single Hawk fan has ever explained their irrational excessive praise of Stanzi's efforts at the ignorance of the spectacular play of their defense. Why do you guys get so defensive about this?

A) you're life is so agonizingly pathetic that you have nothing better to do than hang out on the message board of a rival team and act like a complete jack off?
OR
B) you're just upset that your team lost, ending it's shot at the national title game and you feel the need to lash out at strangers?

Don't you get it? Stanzi's aura determines whether or not the line can block and whether or not the defense forces turnovers. Duh. Remember, he's the 2nd coming of Christ.
He's busy PM'ing his cronies with the counter attack....but there is none so they will start a different thread.
