Tech vs Nebraska on ESPN2

I love my eyes too much to subject them to Nebraska basketball.

Whenever I think of Nebraska basketball I think of Tryonn Lue in Hilton, winter 1997. No shame in admitting his performance that cold Iowa afternoon was impressive.

So Tech won big and Nebraska will be top 4 in the Big Ten.

Alrighty then.

Northwestern winning a game last year left Nebraska as the only P5 or Big East team to be zero for all time in the NCAA tournament.

It's equivalent to if ISU football was still searching for that first ever bowl win. We've struggled on the gridiron but not to that level.

But it's Nebraska so I'm sure none of them are aware they are the worst program in the history of college basketball. I laugh at the dozen or so times I've heard predictions of this being the year they get good. Those Danny Nee years where he went 0-4 over 14 seasons are the pinnicle of their program.

Beard is a damn good coach and he can find him some players. Culver might be his second first round pick in two years and they were both under the radar kids in the same class.

I would argue it’s even worse. 64 teams get in and upsets happen in basketball much more often than football.

Plus it only takes a few great players to create a good basketball team. In football you need 50+ dudes.
