Target field.....new home of the twins

Makes sense. Their head quarters is up there. Can't wait to see a game outside up there.

I'm curious to see how a season plays out in an outside venue for the Twins. Are people going to brave the cold temps in April? Are people going to be slathering themselves with mosquito repellant in the summer?

But then again, maybe it won't be all that bad.

The early season will fill up the first few years just because of the new stadium. After that it will really depend on what type of team they field. As far as misquitos go, the have a really agressive control program covering the 7 county metro area. I can't remember ever seeing a misquito when I used to hang out downtown.

Why would they not put a retractable roof on this... with the snow storms they get in early april EVERY YEAR... why... that's the only dumb move on their part with the new stadium, otherwise... looks cool

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

A retractable roof comes with a huge price tag.

It was a money issue....they were lucky to get this built at all...Its been about a 15 year process, at one point it was going to be in St.Paul but that fell thru...but if they can pull it off in chicago they should be able to here too.

I'm not sure if a final decision has been reached, but they have kicked around the idea of installing heated seats.
