So, Lipsey currently has 62 steals, which is 9 off the freshman single season record set by Hunter last year. Wouldn't it be poetic justice if he could beat that?

It will be tough without at least a couple of wins in the postseason. He averages about 2 a game, so with 4 games he could get there.

Probably a very good shot at catching Monte ISU career steals record but guessing not with assists. Monte had career big 12 minutes record before Covid year likely threw off all records so no small feat to catch him.

I thought by the title of the thread, there would be a video of a vinyl record being stolen. :jimlad:

I like watching him play. He has great instincts and seems to be in the right place at the right time. I see why he was a good football player also.

There should be a *by all records aided by the covid year. Throw out the worst statistical season or something, but all-time records shouldn't be broken because someone played for 5 years (12 in Bohannon's case)

That precedent was broken long ago when they changed the rules to make freshmen eligble to play varsity. So many 3 year records broken with that fourth year.

In football everyone played 10 game seasons, then it was 11 game seasons, then bowl stats were suddenly included, then it was 12 game seasons, then it was 12 game seasons plus a conference championship game, then 12 game seasons with a CCG and a 2 game playoff. Next they will be adding additional playoff games.

Career records have always been a terrible way to compare across generations.
