I got a quick question for you tailgating fanatics. I don't have tickets for the Iowa game and there is like 8 of us so we probably won't be getting tickets. I would like to watch the game and have seen others with TV's at their tailgate with the game on. How do you get the game on a TV out in the tailgate lot? Do you need a special anteanna (sp?) or something? Little help would be very much appreciated!

Most people bring a dish. I just bring my laptop, connect to the Internet, and watch it via slingbox.

hm...how much is a sling box?

I know the last iowa game I watched the game on a flat screen at someone else's tailgate. They had it hooked up to a generator so that gave them power, but I still have no idea how they got the game on...

we're in the same boat as you. We'll attempt to get tickets but if not we're totally prepared to spend the whole time tailtgating and if so we'd love to figure out some way to watch it at our camp.

$90 for a slingbox A/V, which is good enough. The HD ones that they advertise are not really HD.

At home I have the slingbox hooked up to the internet along with my Directv HD DVR.

While tailgating I have the laptop plugged into a small LCD screen and both powered by a generator. The hardest part is finding a good internet connection.
