Does anyone know the tailgate situation? We went to the last bowl in Memphis and tried to tailgate but we were in a dinky lot not near anything and so it was bland. Is there a large lot options? What time would the lot open?

Get ahold of or meet some Iowa State fans and mark yourself the official non official Iowa State tailgate. I would be more than happy to drink with fellow Cyclones, as if a bowl game isn’t enough of a reason.

If you can get your hands on one buy a "tiger lane" pass. Each spot has its own dedicated 10x10 grass are and electrical hook up.

as a fine representative of americas premier tailgating institution, you owe it to yourself.

Do you think I am reading this right?? We can set up tailgate on Friday???

ACCESS TIMES AND INFORMATION: Access to LBMS property for RV or tailgating begins at 8:00am (CST) on the day prior to game day.

Yes but an adult must stay with your spot the entire time I read somewhere in there

Tiger Lane and RV is the day before.

General parking is 6 a.m. on game day (further down the page).

If I end up going, I'll probably just uber to the stadium and walk to random tailgates

I went last time, and their parking/tailgating situation was awful. A huge line of ISU fans waiting to get into their large lot, only to be turned away. Apparently you had to have a special pass, even though that was never advertised to anyone.

The whole town was unprepared for CycloneNation. Bars running out of food/drinks. Stadium had never seen that many fans. Hope they have fixed things and it's better this year.

Just Bought 2 Tiger Lane Parking Passes. We did the last time too, money well spent. Call the number listed on the Liberty Bowl site under tiger lane. Sold me 2 on the spot.

Tiger Lane most definitely they way to go. You will have to pay 40 bucks for a membership and then for each spot. I ordered 3 spots so we have room to play games ect. We did this last time down there and it was great! THIs is where most Memphis donors tailgate and the best news is they have no priority for this game.

See you all there and you all are welcome to stop by our tailgate.

Similar. I bought two spaces, but I can add more for $50 each. Let me know if you want to get one through me without having to pay the $40 membership fee. He said he thinks they will sell out today.

Just see my avatar. And that is only about 2/3 of the big lot. Doesn't include the grass lot or the neighborhood parking or the Ames Christian School lot or the Haunted Forest lot. It doesn't even have most of the D1 to D4 RV parking in it.

here's a better pic, just remember, we are new to this "correct" way of tailgating. We've been doing it from car trunks and truck tailgates on asphalt for the last 30 years.

I like the Tiger Lane setup. We don't have anything quite like it.

Most of ours is also RV, truck, and car trunk tailgating. However, we have a row of 16 big tents for large groups and lots of huge tents for special groups.

Cute.

Side note: is this going to turn into a pissing match on who tailgates better? haha

I respectfully disagree. We have everything like that and a lot more. I think the bowl game tailgating atmosphere will be better than the above pictures, but the tailgating atmosphere of JTS is top notch.
