Don't miss the annual Sweet Corn & Bologna Feed in McCallsburg on Monday, (August 1) 5-7 PM. All the sweet corn and ring bologna you can eat, plus a variety of desserts. All for the low price of $6/person!

After the meal there will be several rousing rounds of bingo, $.25/card.

Really, does it get any better than small town Iowa in the summertime?

$6 buys 1 dozen of sweet corn in and around the DM metro. That is if you are buying Grimes Sweet corn.

Your family of 12 must be lean and mean! :)
 
I probably should have mentioned that the McCallsburg Lions Club is putting on the meal. Funds raised support community endeavors, like play equipment for the park, donations to nonprofit organizations throughout Story County, sight screenings for pre-schoolers, etc.

The Legion Hall is at 80 South 4th Street. Come in on county road E18 and there is *one* stop sign ... turn south and go two blocks. It's right across from the school. I could say 'you can't miss it' but that would be an understatement of epic proportions.
