NFL: Sunday ticket "deals"

About to make my yearly call to get a discount on sunday ticket and I thought I would ask what others got. I dread doing this, but it is worth the $150-$200 for a 10 min phone call.

I usually do this as well, but haven't yet this year. What do you usually say to get them to give you a discount? I normally threaten to cancel it and hope that they will offer a discount to talk me out of it.

I called in yesterday and said I wanted to cancel as better rates were being offered, and now Mediacom had NFL Network and Redzone. Ended up getting Sunday Ticket for free and $10 off a month for a year on my bill. Just signed up last year at the fair.

I just signed up for directv today, and got sunday ticket for free. The way I understand it is if you sign up for a new contract with them (as an existing customer) you will get sunday ticket for free as well.

Yeah, i read somewhere else that somebody did this same thing, so I called and when they asked for a reason for the call I said cancel. Told them Dish and Mediacom were offering much lower rates and since I couldn't justify Sunday Ticket at the price it is. I was pretty surprised as it was very easy.

Direct TV has given me Sunday Ticket free for the last three years. I feel loved!
