Obviously we all saw the attendance stunk tonight for the students. If we’re being honest with ourselves, the balcony of the student section is at least 75% empty for every game minus about 2-3 a year.

Why not have more of like a general admission? Make students claim their ticket online a week before maybe and then sell the rest that’s unclaimed to the general public? This would help keep the balcony of the student section full every game and allow people to go to games at cheaper prices. Any other ideas?

8pm tip with a winter weather advisory the last couple days made folks change plans, that’d be my guess. I suppose we’ll see if it fills back up next week.

The general public left 800 seats unsold for tonight's game despite multiple promotions such as 4 for $44, BOGO, and the such. CF users couldn't give tix away this week. 8pm on school night is tough. So, I'm not sure you are gaining much traction unless you open them up to jr cyclone club at high discount but even then 8pm slots are rough

The regular seats were very good for a Tuesday night at 8 with snow in the forecast.

Even if the general public seats weren’t completely full tonight, they still were last Saturday and every other conference game this year.

Student section balcony was 90% empty Saturday against OSU. There would be a demand for the seats in the student section especially for Saturday conference games for the general public. Think it would really help Hilton.

What seats were you in? I thought the lower level was pretty filled out.
Lower level was fine. But the balcony was extremely thin, for a top 25 matchup I expected a packed house. But yeah 8:00 game time wasn’t ideal.

I wouldn’t mind them selling cheap general admission tickets at the door something like an hour before tip for empty student seats, but anything that would mean less students in the building for big games (like reducing the size of the student section) would be a very bad idea.

Anybody who posts on this website is a pretty big outlier in terms of caring about ISU athletics, most students are much more casual fans.

There are plenty of people on this site that are within driving distance to Hilton.. and still don’t go to games.

It’s not just students.
