I was looking for guidance in pricing some ISU - UNI tickets and saw that the fees for a $125 ticket are $35 to the buyer + seller’s fees

The fees are inconsistent. Sometimes 10%, other times 15%. Never seen 26%

Unbelievable

Bought three lowers to the LMU game through the AD ticket office for $192 after fees. Ticketmaster would have been $202.42.

Seems like an opportunity to corner the market for a company willing to offer reasonable fees. StubHub/Ticketmaster are out of hand.
Problem is Ticketmaster and StubHub have the agreements with arenas/leagues/etc. I'm also guessing those companies have ridiculous legal departments that sue the hell out of any little startup that tries to compete with them over some frivolous patent they have.

Stubhub is GREAT when you are looking for tickets that are selling way below face value, but seller and buyer fees can be deep. Plus, it is my preferred place to sell. Just have to calculate the fees into whatever you are buying or selling.

I need to buy 9 tickets for the LMU game. If I can save on fees that would be very helpful. Did you just call the ticket office or do you have to go in person to get them? Thanks!

This is simple stuff guys.

They all have fees, it's just a matter of whether they show you the price with them or as a no-fee total.

Just shop them all and get the best tickets for the lowest total price. It's hard to believe that most of you have a college education.

Tickets to any sort of event are just insane now. I get free tickets to Albuquerque Isotopes (AAA baseball) and New Mexico Lobos football games once in a while otherwise I wouldn't go to anything other than concerts. But the big concert tours cost way too much. Inflation is a beotch.

Everybody knows how it works, they are just complaining that the fees are exorbitant for very little service. The OP was complaining about the seller fees he would have to pay. So probably want to back off your attempted insult.

I've had good luck both buying and selling on Stub Hub and Vivid. Yes, you pay a premium, but to me it is worth it to allow for an efficient secondary market.

I've both been able to get rid of tickets that I'm sure the buyer was very please to obtain as well as bought in situations where in the end I couldn't have been more happy to get a decent seat on a date past the time the seats were originally sold to the public.

I'm thankful that the days of needing to burn a day of your life away camping in line or taking a day off work to get a decent seats, are long gone.

I use Ticketsforless. $0 fees so you know exactly what you are paying before you get all the way through the process.
Do the prices seem like they include fees? Or is it similar to others in terms of "ticket price".

Do they though?

The "little service" they provide is exposure to 1000's of people and just magically getting money transferred to your account for less than 5 minutes of work.

You were right about one thing though, the OP was complaining. Also, it wasn't an attempted insult, it was a full on insult. Nice try though.

I have bought and sold tickets on Craigslist and Facebook with no fee. It can be a pita at times. In some cases the fee is worth it not having to coordinate the exchange and having a guarantee.
