Stuart Scott dies

Re: ESPN's Stuart Scott dies from cancer at age 49

Seriously near tears. The only ESPN guy I liked. Always a positive guy.

Prayers to his family.

Scott was great, the only negative thing about him is the wannabes that have spawned from trying to be the next Stuart Scott. They've pretty much ruined SC, none of them make it look as smooth and easy as SS did.

I'm tearing up now in a breakfast restaurant after having read the news on my phone. Just devastating, although it's not a surprise considering his poor health.

Growing up and entering and finishing college in the '90's I feel like Stuart Scott provided an important background voice for some important years of my life. Damn, this one is hitting me hard.

I didn't know he had cancer. That's incredibly sad, he's been on ESPN as long as I've been watching it.

Sad day. He had one of those ESPY speeches that will never be forgotten.

Chris Hassel tries to be a Stuart Scott, but he has little knowledge for the content he is covering that half the time and he doesn't pronounce things correctly. If he stuck to just Iowa sports, he'd be golden.

Man that video they put together is really nice but I wouldn't watch it around other people.

His best work was with Rich Eisen, and that team was almost as good as Patrick and Olberman.

Absolutely will be missed.

Good thing Im at my apartment alone....

I had to shut myself in my office for a few minutes while watching these links. Its crazy to think a guy that full of life isn't around anymore. I'm not sure I ever heard one negative thing about another person from Scott, what a class act.
