NFL: Strahan to retire after 15 years, seven Pro Bowls

Tiki Barber: Addition by subtraction.

I concur. IMO, the Giants don't win the title with Tiki - simply for the team dynamics. He even tried to affect the team from the booth - and failed. Or then again, he brought them closer together. Maybe the Giants should be thanking Tiki for that title. (On a somewhat related note, I firmly believe ISU will experience the same thing this fall with the departure of a few seniors from '07)

Anywho...great career for Strahan. Probably not the best of role models - but one helluva football player who put it all out there for 15 years. Will be interesting to see how he fares in the studio. Not exactly the type of person I'd picture for that role.

"O Michael Straaaaay-han! HOW-BOUT-DEM-COWBOYS???"

He's had one heck of a career, and he'll be missed (although it's time to turn the keys of leadership over to Osi Umineyora).

I somewhat follow the Giants as my dad is a big-time fan (that kinda happens when you're from the area), so at the time it came as kind of a surprise to me that Tiki retiring is the thing that brought the team together. Who would have figured that the 3-headed running back monster would have proved to be more effective than Tiki. In retrospect, though, it makes sense, as Tiki just doesn't seem to know when to shut up...
