They should have had a qb in on the hold, maybe that would have improved the quality of the pass. But I am with the OP on this one. I am damn proud of coach and the boys today.

Best kick to the junk this year. Best loss too.

Yep, but losing to a top ranked team is better than losing to one that's not ranked. All 4 of our losses have gone against a team that's been rated in the top 10 at some point in time this season... and I'll take that.

Boy even as a hawkeye fan i was proud of ISU. Someone better keep CPR on lockdown because teams all over the country will be calling for him. He is the next great coach of the game.

I am very impressed with the way the team played today. You played hard and I have faith your hard work will pay off the next two weeks. Please continue representing the university with the character you have shown all year.

Watching this game, I have never been more certain this was our last loss this year.

I agree i think colorado is going to get there ***** handed to them cuz the clones are going to be ****** off and ready to play

That game had a good feel to it, right up to the last play. I was pretty critical of that last play at the game, out of frustration at coming so close and ending up short. I'm more of a believer in putting the offense on the field and taking it to them with our best guys, but that's why they give CPR the big bucks and not me. He manned up in the postgame interview and the team all supported it, so I will too. The Clones played well and deserved to win today. Good D, Good O (mostly), and even special teams a little.

Good coaching overall, other than calling a reverse pass for Money Reynolds, which didn't go so well. CPR and the guys got it going in the right direction.

Let's go and take it to Colorado and wrap up a bowl game. Time to forget this one and take on the next challenge. Go State!

This loss sucked...it sucked and it hurts. A lot. If you don't hurt right now you're not a Cyclone. But this feels different than years past. I feel like we're doing everything to try and win rather than everything to try not to lose. This wasn't like the heartbreaker against Mizzou in 04 or Kansas in 05. Painful losses happen from time to time and sometimes Cyclones feel like they happen all too often to us, but the culture really is changing in Ames. Iowa State seems like a program with it's head on straight. We've got a great AD. Great coach who hired great assistants, and kids that enough can never be said of their performances time and time again. We will beat CU next week and become bowl eligible 2 times in 2 years under Rhoads. I will travel anywhere in the country to see them in a bowl game. I can't wait to get a shot a Pinkel and Mizzou as well. I am SO proud that I've been a Cyclone through thick and thin and will be one until I die. Tough loss, but reflect, don't point fingers and move on. 24 hours and all the woulda coulda shoulda's become WILL DO's when we come to Boulder to lay a hurting on Colorado. We couldn't send kNu off the way we would have wanted but great news: we get another chance to send a team off the right way. Send CU to the Pac-10 and let them be the ones who made us bowl eligible 2 straight years! SO PROUD! Go Cyclones!

Could not be prouder of how our team left it out on the line today. After I went around my house screaming the f word at the top lungs for about 5 minutes, I could not be prouder of the way that they fought through everything and I have no doubt this was our last loss of the season. I would lay my life on the line for CPR. All what? All In! Go Cyclones!
