Does anyone know what Jantz' completion percentage was last fall? I'm guessing that it was somewhere in the 50s. His other stats look great (as does his highlight video). But a completion percentage under 60% is disappointing.

Trying to make a late surge for Thread of the Year? I see what's going on here.

We know its less than 58 based on a listing of completion % of qb's in that league....the worst guy on the list was at 58, and Jantz did not make the list. So, not real good I hope there's an explanation such as they threw the ball deep alot.

This is a great post. You guessed somewhere in the 50's. Then you complimented his other stats such as Most likely to make an all name team. Then threw him under the bus for his under 60% completion percentage that we are not sure if he has or not.
Yep late serge for post of the year. However, I am not sure if it will hold up. You still have two weeks to beat it.

NORCAL Conference of NCFA - San Francisco

His pct was actually 58.6% so not much below 60%. Consider that cam newton was only 60.7% and we know how he turned out....One other thing, if you've watched Jantz's videos, you will see he has more throws over 30 yards in that video then AA had in 3 years.

A lot of factors going into a completion percentage...dont let it phase you....

Kids a baller!!!!

Excellent point. Jantz was 177-302 for 2,727 yards last year. That averages out to 15.4 yds per completion, and 9.02 yd per attempt. Looks like SFCC was throwing the ball downfield a lot. If you're throwing the ball for 10-20 yards every time, the completion percentage is going to go down.

Compare that with Arnaud's stats last year. 171-290 for 1703 yards, for an average of 9.9 yds per completion and 5.87 yds per attempt. (note: I'm not disparaging Arnaud in any way. Just comparing the two)

I am excited for next year! I am excited to see Jantz play and it will be a good battle between him and Tiller. If one of the others happens to jump up with these two...great! I just want to see a crisp, fast-paced passing game.

jantz will never be a cam newton or jughead chizik would have recruited him.excuse me chizik is not that smart.maybe one of chizzy's assistant coach would have recruited him, because chizzy is just a figurehead. did ole mazahn(spelling) leave ole chizzy to go to vanderbilt.i hope he did because ole chizzy would not know what to do next year without mazahn.. i hope mazahn went to vanderbilt. i would like ole chizzy to fall flat on his nose.chizzy probably could not even understand mazahn's playbook.....

Fixed it for you. You can't forget any of the ole's. They really make the post.

FYI, (Ole) Malzahn turned down Vanderbilt and got a raise from Auburn My guess is he is waiting for a better program to come calling. His system relies on having at least some athletes and Vandy is lacking relative to the rest of the SEC.
