Stay in Ames Harrison Barnes

Couldn't agree more. We just need to have one thread for him and everyone can post their opinions in there. 30 New Topics a day about the same thing is getting annoying.
I think the best decision Friday is to stay away from this board because the crazies will come out if he doesn't choose Iowa State. My feeling is as long as he doesn't go to Kansas or Oklahoma so we don't have to see him play twice a year against us, I am fine.
Sure it would be great if he wore the Cardinal and Gold, but if he doesn't, ohh well. We move on with our lives because we will get good players, maybe not an HB but it isn't very often that we even have a shot at a player the caliber of Harrison, so lets take that for whats its worth.
One thing that I understand if he doesn't go to ISU is this. While he will be the hometown hero for the Cyclones, he will also be the great hope here and with that comes expectations that could be too lofty. Also, with the hometown hero comes the days when he is underperforming and he gets extra criticism for it because who he is. So that is one good thing about possibly being just another player at North Carolina or Duke. I'm just trying to go through the thought process that he might have been going through over the last few months.

Hahah! This decision is driving me crazy.
If you guys haven't seen the Duke or N.C. boards, they're saying the exact same thing above, it's diving them nuts! A few even claimed that the HB rectuitment was the most intense and drama-filled they've ever seen.
Pretty impressive for an 18 year old kid that's at home right now watching Dallas play Philly while bouncing a mini nerf basketball off his wall. :cute:

I AM SO TIRED OF PEOPLE DERAILING HARRISON BARNES THREADS BY SAYING HOW SICK OF THESE THREADS THEY ARE!!! WE ARE RECRUITING THE #1 RECRUIT IN THE COUNTRY! GO TO DUKE/UNC THREADS!! THEY HAVE WWWWAAAAYYY MORE HB THREADS THAN WE DO HERE AND NOBODY ******* ABOUT IT.

Obviously Ames+Harrison has been a good combination for him. I know it takes a lot of personal drive to reach levels in which Harrison has, but I know from experience that a good community and peers helps in developement. Harrison may want to start thinking what a good combination it's been for him up to this point. Besides, moms home cooking five minutes away isn't a bad thing.
