Stay classy, Giants

Got a video of the hit that was referenced? Concussions happen on clean hits, too, and Sash has never had a rep as a dirty player at any level.

No, I think it happened in first quarter. I remember Williams taking big hit from Sash on first punt I think it was. I don't think he had one, I think they are just talking. Not saying Sash is dirty. But they obviously talked about it in their special teams meetings, which is kinda sick. Not saying this doesnt happen every week, but you have to be an idiot to admit it, especially when the NFL is cracking down.

Agreed on all counts here. The "go figure, a Hawk did it" line was what irked me a little is all. As mentioned in the article, I'm sure that's not actually an uncommon practice in the NFL. And it is INCREDIBLY stupid to admit it to reporters. But if Sash just laid a clean, hard hit on the guy, he can't help it if he suffered a concussion (or was woozy).

From what I understand, Sash may have paid the price for it late in the game. Heard he got lit up.

Yeah, he got cheap-shot late in the game. It was a clean hit from what I saw on YouTube, just a cheap one. I read on ESPN he suffered a mild concussion on the play.

It was definitely a cheap shot on Sash, but one can't help but wonder if these two hits are connected.

I never saw the first one either. Only caught the second half of the game.

I would like to make a point that e11en and tm3308 are the best hawks I have never met.

I know on one punt return Sash appeared to lead with his head, but I thought that the returner ducked and no contact was made. Could be wrong though.

And yeah that is a cheap hit, but not an illegal one. But wow did he get lit up.

To the OP.... the 49er fans are the ones that need to stay classy. IIRC the punt returner for SF is a rookie. It was a big game and he made two critical mistakes but that doesn't mean that he should be receiving death threats and not just for him but his family as well. That is way over the top.

Kyle Williams, San Francisco 49ers player who fumbled punt against New York Giants, getting death threats on Twitter - NYPOST.com

Don't lump me in there. He didn't help, but I also understand they went 1-13 on 3rd downs, completed 1 pass to a WR, and dropped 2 picks.

And it was a legal hit and whistle hadn't blown. Play to the whistle.
