State of Iowa highest paid employees for 2007

This is a new database the Gazette put out on State of Iowa employees that shows the top 49 highest paid State employees. I thought it was interesting to see how our coaches rank in pay to other coaches. Nothing stands out like KF's salary...

Also, Bill Fennelly is getting paid less than Lisa Bluder...that surprised me.

The richest and poorest are on average the most liberal. The poorest because they get government handouts, and the richest because they think everyone should get what they have. (see soros, George)
 
I was surprised that the difference between the men's and women's BB coaches salaries was not greater, given the revenue disparity. Also, I suspect Lickliter was not on the list as he only drew a check for less than a full year.

Chizik makes more than McDermott. But that report is for salary paid in the State's 2007 fiscal year. Chizik's contract started after the 2007 fiscal year started. You'll see his actual position on next year's list.
 
Before my wife transferred over to her current job she was the secretary to the head of EE and CompE and he was the fifth highest at Iowa State. I can't get the second page of the listing to show up so I don't know where he ranks now. He was the next person behind the three coaches and Geoffrey.

And after she transferred she was replaced by......

Mrs. Bruce Van De Velde
 
I think the register still has a database of every stae employee, not just the highest paid ones.

Well it is for 2007, and Alford was at Iowa through the 06/07 season.

You are talking about Dr. Arun Somani who was the 8th highest paid employee at Iowa State University in 2007 and the highest paid professor (not counting Dean Kushner):

Yep, but then you have to take into account that this is a fraction of his total annual salary.
