Wohoo! only $107 per student per semester for about 23 years for this!

so this is basically Lied without turf for football or soccer?

It's cool because of it's location to the dorms but will probably still go to Lied more because there seems to be more stuff to do there

Lied doesn't have a pool.

That is damn nice. Wish it was there back in my day.

Our contractor that laid the maple wood gym floor at Ankeny High School kept talking about the new Rec Center at Iowa State that he was doing next and mentioned the different logos at each basketball court which I thought had a nice touch to it, turned out pretty f'n sweet.

That hot tub would be cool **** on Friday night's with the ladies haha

That video is ridiculous. The music cutting in and out at loud volumes during the non speaking parts is horrible.

Please tell me they were able to keep the 100-year old chlorine/sweat smell? That's what made State Gym State Gym.

Seriously, I didn't know much about this. It looks huge. Did the footprint expand much?

yes, i think the bball area was formerly all parking lot

I wonder how many more people will go to State than Lied now? I bet there would be a lot of people that go to State for basketball now except when intramurals are going on. Also looking at all the machines I bet there are a lot of college girls that go to State as there are a ton of machines.

On the plus side I heard they are bring back water volleyball and intertube basketball which was suppose to be the best intramural sport.

That would have been awesome when I was there, spent my last few years living on Campus Ave just two blocks away!! Definitely a far cry from the ol' State Gym used to be...
