I could not believe the uniforms worn by our "friends" to the east. Looked like gold finches. One of the worse college football uniforms I have ever seen. It was another episode of the UI "Gong Show".

I definitely was not a fan of the uniforms and it honestly has nothing to do with me not liking the Hawkeyes. Black and gold is such an easy color scheme to make good uniforms with and Iowa puts these things on display? If you only have one game every year where you change things up, and the game you choose to switch it up is against Penn State (who is all white).. why would you not do all black? Iowa has had some cool alternate all black uniforms in the past but for some reason the uniform guys thought this would be better.
Can't believe they put the "wings" back on the shoulder pads. Those were supposed to die with the 90s. Apparently they wanted to resurrect the spirit of mediocrity from Fry's final seasons.
I can never ridicule another team's Uni colors after seeing that boring, drab Black-n-White combo we wore for TCU(**edit**). Who was the creative, avant garde genius to elect that catastrophe?

Okay I was confused there for a second. And sure some people didn't like the uniforms we wore against TCU, however they were pretty clean. I know they didn't have any school colors in them, but I'm fine if that's a combination we only use one time a year.
I realize I'm in the minority on this. I'm ok with alternates; even black & white, but there are ways to make it bad-azz with a little creativity.
