Looking for recommendations for Saturday it may be too windy for tailgating. Looking place for drinks and food. I’m bringing my 8 year old grandson.

I've done Dublin Bay & Old Chicago before a game.

But only because it was raining buckets and colder than Duluth out;). Being warm and watching FB on TV had nothing to do with it!

Dublin Bay is a pretty underrated Ames establishment. Irish Stew or shepherds pie would be pretty good on a cold day.

I’ve gone to Hyvee for a few games. Lots of TV’s usually empty and usually good deals/food(although the cook can make all the difference at a location).

But it just depends on who I’m with, I’m not opposed to the atmosphere of a packed rowdy bar either.

The burger place on south of Lincoln Way and Duff.
Boulder Tap is decent but I hate that they play music videos on tv like the whole damn time. Makes no sense for a sports bar.

Jethros has a pretty big arcade so with an 8 year old, that gets my vote.
