I am surprised that some of the red-shirt guys aren't on the depth chart for returners. I at least expected Jarvis West to be on that list. He was mentioned by CPR, so maybe it is just a formality right now.

I wouldn't replace Josh Lenz at Punt Returner, too much respect for the job he has done and that position, but as kick returner, I wouldn't burn LJ and SJ's energy. Let the people who aren't playing every down, but still are talented contribute there.

I think all the depth chart is right now is saying players returning from last year and upperclassmen will get the benefit of the doubt as the initial #1.

As spring ball starts and ends we will see who beats out those guys for their spots and who plays well enough to keep their spot over younger players.

Spring ball hasnt even started yet. I wouldnt be surprised if the depth charts havent changed one bit since the last snap last year.

I don't think it was the coaches who were writing the material for the articles--the person who wrote the depth charts was guesstimating. For example, for the DB's, CPR mentioned Jansen Watson more at safety, but he was listed at corner. So, perhaps not an "official" depth chart.

It does seem apparent that the new guys will be adding a great deal, however.
