Speaking of ridiculous law suits...

The article title is more than a little misleading. He's not suing because they lost the Super Bowl, but because the Pats allegedly "cheated". Equally ridiculous, but still.

More Congressional hearings anyone?

Those congressional hearings are a total waste of time. I find it sad that congress has nothing better to do than investigate whether MLB players are using steroids. Is there a war they should be managing?

Considering MLB is given it's monopoly status by the US government, I'd say it's a fairly good use of their time to ensure that the league doesn't deteriorate into a drug filled joke. Not to mention the effect the drug use of major pro athletes has on the children that grow up idolizing them.

I understand the rationale for the hearings, and agree....but it still seems like quite a waste of time. Isn't it the commissioners job to take care of this stuff?! Bud Selig is one of the biggest tools of all time, yet he just got his contract extended through 2012 or 13...wtf!?! Oh, nevermind, revenues were up, who cares about anything else.

As far as Congress goes, how pathetic that they basically split along party lines as to whether or not they believed Clemens. God forbid they actually try to look at the case, think for themselves and form their own independent opinion.. :arghh:
