For what its worth, South Dakota State beat Youngstown State by the score of 40 to 7. Ohio State beat Youngstown State in week 1 by a score of 43 to 0. Maybe South Dakota State isnt as horrible of an apponent as we thought? Hopefully that just shows how much ISU has improved since last year. Again, comparing scores really doesnt mean anything so take the scores for what its worth. Just an FYI.

No one here thinks that SDSU is a horrible team. They won their conference last year (first year in FCS) and are expected to be good this year. Some of our fans were actually a little overconcerned IMO. But I don't think anyone thinks that SDSU sucks - we just beat them like a FCS team deserves to be beaten...

They were ranked #18 FCS after losing to us.

They aren't that much different than the UNI team that handled us last year.

I heard some people say last week that SDSU and Maine were comparable, and some even said Maine was better. That simply isn't the case. SDSU is the much, much, much better team. Maine needed a late score to beat Monmouth today.

Didn't Beanie Wells go out halfway through the OSU/Youngstown State game? OSU could have crushed Youngstown State even further, but they didn't have Wells in the game. FWIW, the same Wells-less OSU looked pretty anemic offensively versus Ohio today.

It's still a valid comparison, but doesn't say too much.

Maine beat Monmouth by 3. Monmouth doesn't offer scholarships. Those Hawks have seen the best.

So basicly, Maine sqeezed past Wartburg. :biglaugh: Ya, those hawks sure know how to shedule and cover things up.

Wouldn't it be more like Drake? I still can't get past how Kent State did not score against BC. That is the crazy thing about all this.

You got to remember that Jim Tressel came from Youngstown St. He is not going to beat them by 60. They will go about their business and win handily but not run it up. They do it every year.

Still a very impressive win by a team I still say is the worst we have played in 5 years+
