Soundoff Poll Question...

I didn't know where they were going to start the show, but this nebraska skit is priceless. I think we should post this skit on every board. Beautiful!

ISU-iowa still number 1. Nebraska- iowa #2

It won't be after NU starts to dominate and have regular beat downs of Big 10 teams including IA. I don't think teams in this conference are going to find it very pleasant.

In four of the last four of five games against Nebby, IA has lost by a ton in those four games. I do not see that trend changing. The little 11 have picked up a monster that is starting to surge again and it is going to make quick work of its new conference members.

Really? The same Nebraska that Iowa State has beaten 3 times in the past 8 years? Iowa can't beat them? Didn't Iowa beat ISU pretty good this past year...the very ISU team that went into Lincoln and beat Nebraska without a starting QB or RB. That Nebraska? THEY'RE going to beat down the Big 10?

Funny how when Nebraska was still in the Big 12 some folks on this board were making scenarios on how ISU could win that game, but now that they're in the *gasp* Big 10, they're back to being an invincible juggernaut.

Color me skeptical, but I guess I don't see how the last four games Iowa has played against Nebraska has anything to do with today's teams. considering 2 of those were in the late 90s and two in the early 80s. Nebraska may be good and on the upswing, but they are still a shadow of what they were then.

This isn't meant to be a slam on ISU, but I don't see how 4 games from 10 and 30 years ago are supposed to be any indication on how games now will be going.

For reference, here are the years you referred to:
2000: IA 13, NU 42 ---- ISU 27, NU 49
1999: IA 7, NU 42 ---- ISU 14, NU 49
1982: IA 7, NU 42 ---- ISU 10, NU 48
1981: IA 10, NU 7 --- ISU 7, NU 31

Yet some how, with Iowa State fairing just as poorly, if not worse, against those Nebraska teams, they've managed to take 3 games in the past 8 years, so honestly, what relevance to those games have to the state of the program RIGHT NOW or who would win if they played tomorrow/next season?
Nebraska isn't at the level anymore/currently.

Thanks for the laugh.
