I just don't feel that staiger fits in well with the rest of the teams chemistry. Maybe his game is more suited for the overseas game. That is all

FWIW, I agree with you that Staiger should not be starting. I think Scotty C should be. Outside of shooting, Scotty C is better at everything else than Staiger.

I have NO problem playing Staiger if he is on his game, none at all but he is invisible far too often.

Every team wants a threat from the outside to open up the middle. Our strength is in the middle but that wouldn't be the case without a proven threat.
whether he makes a basket a not, he is a proven shooter that must be respected. don't think defenses aren't aware of that.

He serves a definite purpose. Just having him out there forces a defender to lock on him at all times. I have no problem with his game OR with him starting.

Lucca sure fit in when we played Drake.

Yes he did! I think maybe Scotty should be starting over Staiger also, at least equal minutes. But, if Lucca didn't cash 10 threes and score 36 points, a loss to Drake would be at the top of the list of all the people who want Mac gone.

I think it is pretty clear Staiger should not be a starter on this team. According to McD he does not have an inside presence as part of his game on the offense. This was evident when he had about a 7 inch height advantage against N'western and would not post up or even go into the lane, to me that is a liability.

Staiger can be a 3 point specialist, that is about it.

Can everyone please stay on topic? Thanks.

Seriously? You do know that players probably read this board. And when they read this board they will think the majority of fans think like you. And then they will leave. And then you will complain that we have players leaving.

If you knew ANYTHING about basketball you would realize that Bradley was all over Lucca today. That made it easier for Brackins and Gilstrap to get open. Lucca is also better on defense this year.

Also, your chemistry comment is bizzare. Clearly, there are people on here who think Lucca plays too much. However, chemistry-wise he fits in fine. The players like him, they like playing with him, etc.

everything is not roses and butterflys.....i am sorry you want everything to be so positive. Lucca should start, we should be number 1, and isu basketball will never loose. Sorry not the way it is!!!

I dont buy this bs and never will. If you get offended by some annoymous comments on a message board then you obviously cant handle big time athletics

He's actually right - several players are registered. It doesn't matter if anyone "buys" it - they're here. College kids know how to use the internet.

Good grief not this again. Then I guess Big Ham should have drove the lane today.

It's not always about ability. It's which players can you bring off the bench, and which players are better off starting.

I actually like having him out there with Brackins and Gilstrap. They can carry the scoring load, then when you start subbing, Scott can create his own shot, as well as Dendy. HOPEFULLY prevents having 8 minute scoring droughts like last season.
