Solomon Young out a month with broken left hand

So, Solomon Young's hand IS broken, per ISU athletic trainer. Four weeks, no surgery.

I am a little concerned there was no word about the injury prior to the tournament, then reports it was heavily wrapped but able to play prior to the Indiana St. game and now Young is out 4 week. Hopefully the bone heals properly and this doesn't get extended. Katz made it sound that a surgery was still and option if it lingers. In any case get healthy Solomon.

I'd hate to lose him for the season.

But Holden and Bowie are... adequate.

Getting him right long-term is the key thing.

A medical redshirt... and an extra year of that monster...

Well, it's not the worst thing in the world.

My daughter broke a bone in her hand playing basketball. It sounds similar to this as hers was not displaced either. She wore a brace for 2 weeks and returned to play in 4 weeks. Dr. said 4-5 weeks is normal healing time. It was a little sore when she returned, but did not limit her.

Wonder if Carter will see some time either Sunday or the next few games. I think based on last year, Prohm won't play him for awhile even though the suspension is over.

Solomon Young is too good to not play in conference when he returns. He ain't getting a RS.
