Washington sending 3 first round picks and a second to Rams for #2 pick RG3 welcome to Washington.

NFC East is now going to be even tougher. RG3 will make the skins better immediately. There is no (dog) team in that division now.

Redskins are dumb. There will be 3 QBs just as good as RG3 in next years draft.

Great trade for the Rams. Can't believe they got three first round picks.

Reminds me of the Dallas/Minnesota Hershel Walker trade. I wonder if the Rams can get a few super bowls out of this? Dumb move by Washington if you ask me. Better off spending some money on Payton.

Actually its only 2 1st round picks because they swap there 1st rd picks this year.
Still a steep price but only time will tell if it was worth it.Elite franchise Qbs in the NFL
are hard to come by and almost necessary to win consistantly in todays game.
The Redskins have a pretty good young defense and lots of money to spend in FA the next 2 years.Maybe it'll work out for them.

keep telling yourself that. RG3 I believe will be just good maybe even better than luck. Steep price but you need a QB to compete in the NFL. RG3 has better skills than Vick had when he came in the league.

As long as Daniel Snyder is the owner they won't be any good. Just like all of their other moves they've overspent.

It won't surprise me one bit if this works out to be a great trade for the 'skins.

HOWEVER, it seems to me they gave WAY TOO MUCH for him.

Lemme see what this nets the Rams this year...

1. Colts - Luck
2. Redskins - RG3
3. Vikings - Kalil
4. Browns - Claiborne/Blackmon/Richardson/Tannehill (it happened with Ponder last year...)
5. Bucs - Claiborne/Blackmon/Richardson
6. Rams - that leaves one of Claiborne/Blackmon/Richardson for the Rams, or perhaps the next best receiver or OT to help Bradford out

Hence, I think the Rams got good value for this year, since they'll still be able to get a Top 5 prospect or so in their spot, and the value for the players there should fit their needs at OT/CB/WR/RB. Yes, I know they have Steven Jackson, but as much as I love the guy, running backs usually don't last much past his current age.

I don't think this is quite as much as the Walker trade from back in the day, but this is certainly going to be nice to be double-picking in the first round for the next two years and then two seconds this year. I like this. If they can't rebuild with that ammunition at the top of the draft, then they're just going to suck forever. :(

Without having read exactly what the Rams are giving (is there a link?), I can't believe they'd still have the 6th pick this year.

Past history would probably indicate that this is a bad move by the Redskins.

Most of the good NFL teams today, have been built by aquiring tons of draft picks, not giving them all up for one player. That usually never works.

The Patriots and Packers have been known for years as teams that always seem to trade down year after year to aquire more draft picks. You need to build a strong deep team to win in this league, not one with one star player and nothing else.

Therefore, I think this deal sets up the Rams very well. They already have a good QB in Bradford, and a good RB in Jackson. They have some solid pieces on defense too. So if they can still add a Blackmon, and a bunch of other solid picks from the Skins, they could be a team to deal with pretty quickly IMO.
