Planning a business trip to Singapore and KL Spring 2020. Will be adding a 2-3 vacation days in each location. Looking for suggestions/must dos, besides Petronas Tower bridge.

Hookers? Business trip I suppose you can write them off as entertainment expense.

I had less than 48 hours for a meeting in Singapore. It's a humid, sticky place anytime of the year. It has a lot of high-end shopping but I wasn't really into that. I'd love to get to KL but have not had the chance.

In Singapore don’t miss Gardens by the Bay. Also, check out the food halls. If you have time go to the Chinese Gardens. The national museum is good.

In KL go to the food stands (google Kuala Lumpur food street). Also, the statue of the Buddha with the rainbow steps.

Have fun!

I just got back from my 4th business trip to Singapore. It is probably the most westernized city in S.E. Asia, and is completely safe to travel around freely. I would recommend the Gardens by the Bay, Buddhist temple to Chinatown, national aquarium, and Clarke Quay at night (lots of bars and resturants). Just be prepared to spend $15 Singapore ($12US) for a beer in the bars and restaurants. They have a fantastic subway system, and plentiful taxis. Lots of high-end shopping, if that is your thing.

It's an interesting place to visit, been there a few times over the last decade and a half. Probably what was most amazing was flying in and seeing all the giant oil platforms, mothballed off the coast with prices so low last year. Expect excellent service, western amenities, and extremely high prices, as mentioned above, I was paying $18. Ask a local about taxes, or buying a car, it's a good laugh. You will enjoy being back stateside all the more. Have a fun trip!

Been there many times, most recently a week ago. I stay in the cheaper parts of both places and eat all local so the prices are inexpensive. Tiger beer is cheap and little india is the coolest place in my opinion. Newton circus is an example of an outdoor se asian style foodstall market. If you’re driving to KL, stop i. Malacca on tbe way if you’re into history. Portuguese originally setup a trading center there that was taken by the dutch and eventually the british. Have fun. Happy for you!

I've been to KL - like you said, the Petronas Tower bridge is cool. Head out of town too, there are some surprisingly beautiful beaches. Other cities to check out: Penang and Putrajaya. Some ppl would tell you to stay away from the street food, but we ate a ton of it and it was awesome. Have fun!
