MLB: Shut up Milton Bradley

How ironic this was started by a Cardinals fan ;). I agree though... he needs to quit being a whiny little *****.

Perhaps someone should tell Milton that the umps are graded pitch by pitch (supposedly) and that "retaliating" against him would probably hurt them more than they could ever hurt him.

I'm wondering what the question was that prompted him to say something like that. Surely a hack writer from the Tribune wouldn't phrase a question in such a way that no matter what Milton says, it's guaranteed to be controversial. That would never happen.

If he were a Cardinal and came out with this garbage, I would still tell him to SHUT THE HELL UP!

He is a whiny little *****. He is only 18 for 96. I'm pretty sure the Umps aren't to blame for his 23 Strike Outs. Plus he still has 14 BBs.

Never mind that he never said that, or even implied that in that article.

"Unfortunately, I just think it's a lot of 'Oh, you did this to my colleague,' or 'We're going to get him any time we can," Bradley said, according to the Chicago Tribune. "As soon as he gets two strikes, we're going to call whatever and see what he does. Let's try to ruin Milton Bradley.'

That answer is all on Bradley. There's no way a "hack writer" could single-handedly lead Bradley to say something this stupid. Right now Bradley looks like a has-been who cashed in on a good year least year. He could still turn it around, but he's on track to be the worst free agent acquisition in Cub history.

Jock Jones? Sure a writer could - a question can be phrased in such a way that the answer is going to be controversial, no matter what that answer is. We have no idea what the question was, because Sully didn't include that in the article (no surprise).

I don't think the media is out to get Bradley. He came to the Cubs with a repuatation, and it's up to him to change it. It's also up to him to recognize when/if he's being baited, and to walk away. There isn't anything in his contract that says he has to talk to reporters.

Who is Jock Jones? Is he related to Jacque Jones?

Oh for christ sake. Jacque Jones isn't even in the conversation for the worse free agent signing. He was a quality RF when he was here. Now Todd Hundley was a bad signing.

Kinda like a TO in football. Just needs to shut his mouth and play the game.
And if he could start to play better that'd be great!

I'll take Jacque Jones over Milton Bradley any day. Jones batted .285 in his two years as a Cub. Bradley is still batting under .200. Jones played better defense too.

Yeah, but Todd Hundley eventually turned into Eric Karros and Mark Grudzilanik, so it wasn't all bad.

Jacque was a surprising flop, which is why he's picked up so much ire along the way. That, and we've started to think that they owe us a World Series victory every year.
