Tired narrative but I don't expect much better.
Reminder that Iowa State had its best season ever last year and it didn't involve Iowa at all. So the whole Super Bowl narrative really doesn't apply. But who cares.

Meh. Both sides like to toss out the "it's their super bowl" card so much that it has become tired and lame.
I thought the Super Bowl comparison was the one where a team goes balls out for that one game and then fails to do much else with the rest of the season. Like, you know, the Hawkeyes of recent years.
He's just pissed because he's stuck playing with Petras. He knows Hall is in a better spot.
That's a bad take by Goodson but given how the past 6 years has gone they have earned the right to talk all the **** they want.
If we’ve been losing this game, then follow it up to go on and drastically improve afterwards every year, wouldn’t that be much more like a preseason matchup to us?

This is one of my favorite Hate Week traditions. Each fanbase downplaying the importance of the game to the point I'm convinced each side kind of wants to lose so they can claim it wasn't their Super Bowl.
