I'm taking my son out this weekend since he can use his youth tag. Probably looking for antlers, it will be his first deer.

I go 2nd season and I'm of the opinion if its brown, its down.

Absolutely. We hold a fish fry/wild game feed every March for the Spina Bifida kids and we can always use donations.

I should be more clear, I won't shoot a doe because it's the first thing I see. I will donate the meat of whatever I end up shooting, but I'm holding out instead of taking the first deer.

We will be going out for first season, and I'll only be joining the party on Saturday and Sunday. Looks like we have crappy deer hunting weather slated for the weekend. 40 degrees and not very windy. Nothing like finding dredge ditches, CRP, and fence lines to locate the damn deer. Oh, and we are in a buck only county (for first season) again this year. Yippy...............
