Shorting a Stock - Casey's (CASY)

Did I ask for stock advice, how to read a 10K, and other metrics? I did not. I asked for insight on the convenient store business.

Btw if you’re getting your stock advice (or asking opinions) from a message board that’s a really good sign that you should only be trading index funds. Specifically s&p 500 index funds.
I will ask various questions here, sometimes something will pop that you had never thought of before. I had a renown doctor at the Mayo Clinic tell me they had not thought of s certain approach when I suggested something with my mom. He then said that’s a good idea and let’s do it. Sometimes “ignorant” people open your closed mind to possibilities.

This is very true. I have to be a generalist in a room of specialists all of the time. I have to put my ego aside all of the time and say, "I am the person in the room that knows the least about this, but have you considered/what would happen if we did this." or something similar. You have to not be afraid of looking foolish and just ask questions and suggest solutions. It is surprising how often my "dumb guy" questions or ideas lead to something that improves our outcomes.

Fair point.

I don't follow this ticker at all but with a 2 minute glance the technicals look ripe for a $260 test. October 20th $260 put contracts only $0.95, go for it!

*This is not financial advice* ;)
